Words on the water

5 August 2013

Booksellers come in many forms but Sarah Henshaw is one of the more unusual ones. Sarah is the proprietor of the Book Barge, a 60-foot cruiser foot narrow boat called Joseph that chugs up and down England’s canal network serving as an aquatic emporium.

We did look into the possibility of bringing Joseph to Wigtown but it’s not exactly ocean-going and the coast of a lowloader and crane from the Lake District proved prohibitive (next year?). So we’ve done the next best thing and invited Sarah to come and blog for us during the festival. In the meantime, here’s her website: www.thebookbarge.co.uk.
