About us

Regeneration through books

In 1999 the new Scottish Parliament acknowledged Wigtown as Scotland’s National Book Town, and in the same year the first Wigtown Book Festival took place.

Since then, Wigtown has hosted an annual autumn literary festival, with a growing calendar of events through the year.

Our own bookshop has now joined the collection of booksellers in the town.
