How to book


We have a new ticketing system in place for 2018, please read the details below - especially the information on receiving your tickets.

In person

Our Box Office is now at 11 North Main Street, Wigtown (the green building on the corner of New Road).

Opening hours

During Wigtown Book Festival: 9am-6.30pm, daily
Before the Festival: Mon-Sat, 9am-5pm; Sun 10am-4pm

Online

  • 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at wigtownbookfestival.com Visa and Mastercard accepted. 
  • Please see notes below on receiving your tickets.
  • Tickets are held in your basket for 30mins while you browse and book. The timer starts when you add your first item to the basket.
  • Tip:when you're adding multiple items to your basket, use your browser 'back' button to return from the shopping cart to the main Book Festival website.


Receiving/collecting your tickets

New ticketing system for 2018


Online bookings

  • If you book online, there are two options regarding ticket delivery: receive e-tickets by email (which
    you can print at home, or show on a smart phone at the door of an event for scanning); collect paper tickets from the Festival Box Office.
  • If we are printing your tickets, you will need to collect them from the Festival Box Office at 11 Main Street, Wigtown. Please make sure to allow adequate time to collect your tickets and then proceed to the event venue.
  • You will not receive tickets through the post.
  • Please take care when typing your email address into the booking system.
  • There is a £1.50 administration charge per booking.


Tickets booked by telephone or in person
