What are the certainties about our place in the universe? To try and make sense of where we came from and what life is all about, over the millennia we have told ourselves stories to answer the biggest questions. Join Richard Holloway as he explores those mysteries, and takes us on a personal, scientific and philosophical journey in his own thought-provoking and entertaining way.  He will talk about the stories we’ve created to try to explain our minute presence in the enormity of the universe.

There is much in this book to make you think, much to provoke argument for and against” – Alan Massie, The Scotsman
