Naturalist, wildlife writer and rehabilitator Polly Pullar has been working with red squirrels for over 30 years and knows them intimately. Join Polly and East Wigtownshire Red Squirrel Group for a woodland walk looking for red squirrels. Learn more of the fascinating life of nature’s finest arboreal acrobat, and some of the other species that share their world on a relaxing walk around the woods at White Loch, Monreith. Dress for a woodland walk and soft ground. 

Directions to White Loch of Myrton, Monreith Estate, Port William DG8 9LE: From Wigtown, drive towards Port William on B7085 for 9.5 miles. Turn towards Monreith for 0.3 miles, turn left into the Estate. Continue to drive to the car park ½ mile after passing Monreith House. Total distance from Wigtown 12 miles (journey time 20 mins by car).
