Support us by becoming a Friend of the Festival

We need Friends more than ever this year to help protect Wigtown Book Festival for the future.

This year, the usual perks of your Friend of the Festival membership will be returning. We are also including the 10% discount on books in our online bookshop introduced last year, active from 1 August 2022 and 31 July 2023.

Not only can you browse the online stock but we'll also order any new book you're looking for (subject to availability) to be delivered to your door or collected from us at Number 11 in Wigtown.

Become an Annual Friend of the Festival - £25 HERE

Your 2022 Friend of the Festival subscription will run from 1 August 2022 until 31 July 2023. The benefits of becoming a Friend will include:

10% off one main programme ticket for each event booked (excluding dinners and those promoted for other organisations)
10% discount on books purchased from our online bookshop, from 1 August 2022 to July 31st 2023.
Guaranteed booking for any event until 9 August 2022, priority booking until 2 September 2022. *
Renewal is not automatic though you will be invited to become a Friend again in 2023 should you wish.

Become a Annual Family Friend of the Festival - £35 HERE

Your 2022 Family Friend of the Festival subscription will run from 1 August 2022 until 31 July 2023. The benefits of becoming a Friend will include:

10% off main programme tickets for each event booked (excluding dinners and those promoted for other organisations)
10% discount on books purchased from our online bookshop, from 1 August to 31 July 2023.
Guaranteed booking for any event until 9 August 2022, priority booking until 2 September 2022. *
Renewal is not automatic though you will be invited to become a Friend again in 2023 should you wish.

Become a Friend for Life - £250 HERE

Being a Friend for Life offers annual perks for as long as you attend the Festival and as long as the Festival exists. The benefits of becoming a Friend for Life will include:

10% off one main programme ticket for each event booked (excluding dinners and those promoted for other organisations).
Guaranteed booking for a week commencing programme launch, priority booking for one month following programme launch. *
a pair of complimentary tickets every year.
an invitation to the annual Opening Party (which is returning this year!)
This year, including a 10% discount on books purchased from our online bookshop, until 21 July 2023.

Please Note

We will notify you when the programme is live online. Full programmes will not be distributed this year but a condensed programme leaflet will be mailed to you.

*Outside of the one week window, priority booking does not guarantee a ticket. A certain number of priority tickets will be reserved for Friends until 1 September 2022 but availability will still vary. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
