£0.00 to £7.00

Voyaging the solar system, from the surface of Mars to the outer reaches of our sun’s influence, Dr Axel Hagermann shows how ice can reveal some of the mysteries of the universe. Sharing the wonderful and sometimes weird findings from the University of Stirling’s Planetary Ices Laboratory, he shows how this research informs recent space missions.

Axel Hagermann studied in Germany and Japan, moving to the Open University in 2004 as part of the Cassini-Huygens team and working on the analysis of space mission data. In 2018, he joined the University of Stirling where he is Associate Professor in Biological and Environmental Sciences. Ices are the focus of his research. He also likes ice cream.
