5 Questions with Verily Vintage
Tell us about your connection to Wigtown and the Book Festival
A friend of mine suggested that I apply for a stall at The Kist last year. I really wasn't sure that I should as I only started my small business last year and thought such an established event might be a bit overwhelming. I couldn't have been more wrong, from the initial enthusiastic emails I exchanged with the team to non-stop chatter with the other stallholders, I have enjoyed every minute. The people I met last year encouraged me so much on the weekend I was at the festival, and at events afterwards, that it gave me the confidence to sell my work through a few galleries and shops. I also enjoyed talking textiles with a few fellow fabric addicts!
