There are over 265 museums and public collections in Iceland, which is nearly one for every ten people in a population of only around 330,000 people. A Kendra Greene takes us on a whimsical and otherworldly journey through the mythic creatures, natural wonders and curiosities ranging from the Icelandic Phallological Museum, which collects the penises of every mammal known to exist in Iceland, to the metaphysical, like the Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft. Join her online as she guides us gently through these arcane collections of what she terms ‘untold wonders’.

“Lyrical and offbeat... What Greene’s book achieves most of all is revealing the passions and the obsessions of the people behind the museums we so love to visit” – New York Times
