Alastair Campbell says we all know someone with depression and there is rarely a family untouched by it. This is an honest account of his own lifelong struggle with depression, exploring his childhood, his family and other relationships and the impact of his professional and political life on his mental health. Listen to him as he talks about breaking down the barriers that have long prevented people from speaking openly about feelings and experiences because of the stigma and shame.

For anyone who has lived with depression or lived with someone who lives with depression Living Better will be indispensable and – potentially – even a life-saver” – Stephen Fry

About the author: Alastair Campbell is best known for his role as Tony Blair’s spokesman and Director of Communications and Strategy when Blair was Prime Minister.
