Keith Skene
Artificial Intelligence and the Environmental Crisis
Dr Keith Skene, director of the Biosphere Research Institute, believes that artificial intelligence may help us travel towards a sustainable future, but only if we change the model of intelligence upon which it is based. As human “intelligence” drove us towards climate disaster in the first place, we should look for an alternative in nature.
In this entertaining presentation, which draws inspiration from his new book Artificial Intelligence and the Environmental Crisis, he promises to introduce us to Susan the amnesiac squirrel and the King of Phrygia’s hairy ears.
