Imogen Stirling
Telling Your Story
Join performance poet and theatre-maker Imogen Stirling (Sky Arts, BBC, Neu! Reekie!) for a welcoming and inclusive online creative writing workshop. This workshop is open to all experience levels (complete beginner’s welcome!) and encourages anyone with an interest in the joy of words to find their voice, build their confidence and tell their stories.
Together, we will mix simple writing exercises with poetry readings and general discussion to see how poetry can be used for mindfulness, expression and fun. Focus will be given to the numerous ways in which poetry can be used to navigate the ongoing anxieties of the pandemic and lockdown - all within a warm, empowering environment.

Unless otherwise indicated, you can watch events on our website homepage (or on the event page in the programme), or on our YouTube channel. We'll send you further information nearer the time.
During the event, you can ask a question by using the box on the homepage, or in the chat box on YouTube (you'll need a google account for the latter).

No. You can go to our website or YouTube channel and watch most events without registering. However, it’s still worth signing up as you will be sent a link to the event and a reminder 30 minutes beforehand.
