Karen Campbell’s new novel has been described as 'a love letter to Galloway', with Scotland’s book town playing a crucial role in the plot. Kelly is a homeless woman in Glasgow who is witness to a terrible accident in the city's streets. Needing an escape, she decides to track down the owner of a lost engagement ring. So begins a journey that will take her to the south-west of Scotland and into her own small-town past. Along the way, Kelly encounters hippies, book lovers, a friendly dog and unfriendly humans, and is given a chance to reconnect with people she thought she had left behind.
